About The Position

The Hemodialysis RN provides direct nursing care and hemodialysis treatments to assigned patients in a chronic hemodialysis unit. As a Team Leader, the RN supervises designated staff members, assists with patient care as needed, and serves in a professional manner with an emphasis on quality care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registration with the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• Ability to perform day-to-day physical motions including standing, turning, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without experiencing fatigue.
• Flexibility to change roles when assigned to function as Team Leader or Staff RN.
• Willingness to function as Charge Nurse when designated by the Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Director, or Dialysis Administrator.
• Ability to provide nursing care to assigned patients and handle or direct problems to the appropriate service.
• Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and delegate duties to assigned personnel.

Nice To Haves

• One year of dialysis experience preferred.
