About The Position

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is a 9-hospital system, part of Highmark Health, dedicated to transforming healthcare by providing highly effective services. AHN Wexford Hospital, opened in September 2021, is a new full-service hospital offering comprehensive care to patients of all ages in the North Hills communities of Pittsburgh. The Women and Infants unit at AHN Wexford Hospital is a 20-bed unit with 6 Labor & Delivery beds, 10 Postpartum beds, and 4 Level II NICU beds, all in private rooms. This role is not accepting upcoming or newly graduated RNs at this time.

Requirements

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

• Certification in area of specialty
• Prior Postpartum RN experience

Responsibilities

• Assesses human responses and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families.
• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.

• Assigns duties and lunches for staff when performing charge role.
