About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center on the Eastern Shore is seeking compassionate and dependable Nurses (RN/LPN) to join our team in Cambridge, MD. At Avenues, nurses play a vital role in helping individuals begin recovery in a safe, supportive, and highly structured medical environment. Avenues Recovery Center at the Eastern Shore is a 100-bed residential facility offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. With its unparalleled clinical program, skilled and dedicated staff, and fresh, modern premises, Avenues provides the ultimate setting for clients to open up and begin healing and rediscovering themselves. Our star staff includes therapists and clinicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, group facilitators and behavioral health technicians - all of whom help to create a warm, accepting atmosphere, and provide care in the most compassionate and dignified manner. Requirements
- Minimum one year diploma program post - high school
- Current RN or LPN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
- Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Nice To Haves
- Experienced in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, LTC
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
- Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
- Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings
