About The Position

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its collaborative, patient-focused Primary Care team in Lakeville, Minnesota. This benefits-eligible position is 0.9 FTE, or 72 hours per two-week pay period. The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; there are no weekends. The RN plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides professional nursing care to patients in an ambulatory care setting. Following established standards and protocols, the nurse delivers care that is responsive to the age-specific needs of the clinic’s patients and supports quality, patient- and family-centered care. The RN works as part of the care team, educates patients and the public about medical conditions, maintains complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation, and seeks opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

Hold an RN license in the state of practice; some positions may require additional state RN licenses.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
Implement nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluate care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Deliver care as delegated by a physician or authorized practitioner to an assigned patient population or individual patient.
Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.

Educate patients and the public about medical conditions.
Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
