Planned Parenthood of Southern New England is seeking a Registered Nurse to support clinical and administrative functions at the Health Center, ensuring high-quality patient care. The Registered Nurse will provide direct and support services to patients in alignment with the organization's mission and values. This role involves direct patient interactions with empathy, accurate charting, and providing thorough, professional, and unbiased patient education on various reproductive health topics. The position also includes conducting laboratory procedures, managing lab supplies, administering injections, and providing care in recovery areas for abortion centers, including IV management and medication administration. Once trained, the role may involve providing sedation services under physician supervision and traveling to other sites to offer coverage. The Registered Nurse will manage medical emergencies, assist clinicians with procedures, maintain exam rooms, restock supplies, and participate in all PPSNE medical services, including abortion care. Responsibilities also include client education, pregnancy options counseling, assisting providers, and providing medical oversight during recovery. The role involves following up on lab and imaging results, assisting with health center follow-up and patient triage, facilitating medical emergency drills, maintaining clinical quality assurance, and contributing to productivity and revenue cycle goals. The position requires gathering data for Quality Improvement procedures and ensuring legal compliance. Flexibility, teamwork, and adherence to protocols, policies, and standard practices in customer service, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance are essential.
