About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with 16-10 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. The position is a 48-hour contract with an ASAP start date. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients experiencing Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), Substance Abuse, and Encephalopathy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Responsibilities
- Providing patient-centered care in an intermediate care setting.
- Administering medications and IV therapies, including Heparin drips.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responses to treatment plans.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educating patients and their families regarding health management and treatment protocols.
