About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Dunn Avenue (ED North) in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. This emergency department provides high-quality care to a growing community in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for nurses committed to clinical excellence and patient advocacy. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
• Telemetry Experience (required)
• Hospital Experience (required)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
• CEN, TNCC, NIHSS (preferred)

Responsibilities
