About The Position

The High-Risk Obstetrics Unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus is dedicated to providing exceptional, specialized care for mothers experiencing complex pregnancies and postpartum conditions. Our 6-bed unit is designed to support patients requiring advanced monitoring and treatment, including high-risk antepartum admissions and postpartum patients with complications such as magnesium sulfate therapy and other intensive interventions. We work closely with our Labor and Delivery team, Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, and the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to ensure seamless, coordinated care for both mothers and babies. Our unit is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by highly skilled nurses and providers who are passionate about delivering safe, compassionate care during the most critical stages of pregnancy and recovery. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Labor and Delivery Experience
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
