About The Position

The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients’ status, plans of care, and goal achievement. Care is provided compassionately, professionally, ethically, and knowledgeably, based on the Caring Model and in accordance with Rush Copley’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The nurse is expected to uphold ethical and safe processes while prioritizing patient care. The role works closely with the multidisciplinary team and requires understanding personal limitations and seeking advice, judgment, and support from others when needed.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification within three months of hire.
• Completion of a telemetry monitoring course at hire or within the first three months of employment.
• For hires or transfers on or after August 1, 2013, attain a BSN within five years of the hire or transfer date.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certification in Medical Surgical Nursing, PCCN, or another nursing specialty is desirable.
• One to two years of acute nursing experience preferred.
