About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs patient care procedures and skills acquired through graduation from an accredited school of nursing. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care according to hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and care standards. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care through supervision of select delegated nursing acts and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

This is a 0.8 FTE position in the Recovery Room (PACU), with Monday–Friday shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM. The position includes a weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation, and the nurse must be able to respond within 45 minutes while on call. The first two weeks of employment require availability for Nursing Orientation during the day shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program; other nursing degrees may be considered individually.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
• Current CPR certification or eligibility to complete certification within 3 months of hire.
• Relevant medical/surgical experience.
• Must be available for Nursing Orientation during the day shift for the first 2 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to respond within 45 minutes when on call.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• PACU experience.
