About The Position

The Emergency Department at Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an RN in our Emergency Department, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that demands critical thinking and skilled care delivery. You will collaborate with a wide range of healthcare professionals to treat complex, acute cases that require timely and coordinated responses. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

• RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
• Patient centered, motivated nurses who are committed to providing exceptional patient care
• Excellent concise, closed – loop communication skills
• Ability to articulate compassion toward patients and staff
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Adaptable
• Strong multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to provide proactive care in collaborative team environment
• Less than 1 year applicable experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Performing patient care
• Delegating patient care tasks
• Supervision of other patient care staff
• Coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients
• Consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
