About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will complete medical assessments and brief histories on all clients admitted to the Supportive Crisis Stabilization Center (SCSC) program. The RN will monitor and coordinate follow-up care as directed by the Program Director. The position requires the ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required.

Nice To Haves

Master’s in Nursing preferred
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking preferred

Responsibilities

Complete screening, assessments and care of every client seeking SCSC services (Adults/Youth/Children).
Evaluate severity of withdrawal symptoms using established screening tools (if appropriate to Substance Use clients).
Coordinate delivery and reception of medications with pharmacy.
Document all medications received and coordinate management of the meds while client is at SCSC.
Observe self-administration of medications.
Monitor withdrawal symptoms during detoxification according to established protocols.
Refer for required medical services as appropriate (Internal & External).
Provide education and consultation to individual clients and/or groups on their health needs.
Assure clients’ compliance with prescribed medical regimen.
Complete timely and accurate documentation on medical services rendered.
Complete all clinical documentation in EHR.
File all documents in the clients’ charts upon completion.
Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate replenishment with Office Manager.
