Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - IMCU/Med Surg - Emergency Department
About The Position
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital Emergency Department is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse to manage Med/Surg and IMC patients. This position works collaboratively with the ED team caring for patients admitted to a med/surg level of care awaiting a room (admission boarders). This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area. We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients. The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging. We have a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage Med/Surg and IMC patients within the Emergency Department.
- Care for patients admitted to a med/surg level of care awaiting a room (admission boarders).
- Collaborate with the ED team.
