Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a temporary, full-time, 14-week assignment for the night shift, working Wednesday through Friday from 7pm to 7am. The Emergency Department is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with a dedicated 6-bed area for psychiatric screening and treatment. It is a stroke-certified ED that receives STEMI and psychiatric patients, treating approximately 150 patients per day. The department includes a dedicated radiology suite for plain film and CT imaging and boasts a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- ACLS.
- PALS.
- NIH Stroke Scale.
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital ER RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Level III Trauma Emergency Department.
- Manage STEMI and psychiatric patients.
- Utilize a dedicated radiology suite for imaging.
- Work within a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.
