About The Position

The University of Rochester is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Mother/Baby unit. This full-time position involves providing competent direct patient care based on established standards, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the enhancement of the care delivery system. The role may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. The position focuses on the care of low to moderate risk women and healthy newborns, with an emphasis on education and support for the mother-baby dyad. Collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, fellow nurses, and social workers is expected to provide high-quality care in a teamwork culture that values integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. Patient and family-centered care is paramount, especially in challenging situations.
