About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in Ambulatory Neurosurgery at the Gonda Building, working directly with neurosurgeons. The role primarily serves adults and may include some pediatric coverage. The RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. The role supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care, and operates within Mayo Clinic’s Nursing Professional Practice Model. The RN is accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients, with the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice providing a basis for practice.
