About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in a Family Practice Clinic in Jackson, KY. The role involves evaluating patients, planning and implementing nursing care, assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, performing patient tests, and administering medications. The nurse will also focus on patient education to promote independence and understanding of their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The position requires a high degree of creativity and latitude, relying on experience and judgment to achieve goals.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Kentucky
- Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees

Responsibilities
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
