About The Position

The Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Services uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals in the Medical/Surgical Unit, including units such as 2 East, 3 East, 4 East, 5 East, 6 East, and 7 East. The nurse practices appropriate Medical/Surgical nursing standards, supports the hospital and department’s mission, vision, and values, and performs activities addressing the needs of adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support course.
• Successful completion of the institutional Intermediate EKG Course.
• Annual completion of competency requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of an Advanced Cardiac Life Support course is preferred, except in Special Procedures, where it is required.
• Experience operating personal computers, including software in a Windows environment.
