About The Position
At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, our Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced practice.
Requirements
- Current RN license is required.
- BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
- Record and maintain records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
- Prepare Botox injections.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing.
- Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
- Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling of tests/procedures, referral appointments as needed, changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.
- Cross train for IV infusion therapy as needed.
