About The Position
This role involves providing direct, patient-centered nursing care to neurology patients. The nurse will perform comprehensive neuro assessments, monitor for changes in neurological status, and develop and implement individualized care plans. Accurate documentation of patient condition and prompt response to acute events such as stroke symptoms or seizure activity are crucial. The position also requires coordinating interdisciplinary care with neurologists, rehab services, and case management to ensure seamless treatment progression and safe discharge planning.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- One year RN acute care experience.
