About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Spine and Scoliosis department at the Lamar Building at Thirty Second Street in Austin, Texas. This full-time clinic role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The nurse coordinates interdisciplinary patient care, implements and monitors individualized care plans, carries out physician and nursing orders, and supports discharge planning to promote safe transitions and continuity of care.

Requirements

• Hold an active Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing before the hire or job transfer date.
• Obtain a BLS Provider credential within 30 days of the hire or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted. Alternatively, obtain an Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support credential within 30 days; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing; alternatively, have a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field, an active RN license, and enrollment in an Alternate Entry Master of Science in Nursing program with at least one year completed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience answering phones and guiding patients to appropriate care through phone triage.
• Ability to speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interdisciplinary patient care to support seamless care journeys and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Implement and monitor individualized care plans, tracking and communicating changes in patient condition to maintain safety and high-quality outcomes.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately to ensure timely, effective treatment.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the broader healthcare team to support safe transitions and continuity of care.
