About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse to work in the Operating Room at an acute care hospital in Polson, Montana. This 13-week assignment supports a two-room OR handling OB/GYN, orthopedic, GI/general surgery, ENT, pain, and dental cases. The nurse covers pre-op, post-op, circulating, PACU, and endoscopy, and is required to float between units. On-call duties include variable weekend and night call, approximately eight shifts per month. Weekend work is required every third or fourth weekend, depending on the rotation. The stated weekly pay is $2,438, with a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267 per week where eligible. The schedule is either five 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 15:00 or four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 17:00. The assignment is scheduled to start November 16, 2026, and has two openings.

Requirements

• Active Montana RN license; compact license accepted.
• Recent Operating Room experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room across OB/GYN, orthopedic, GI/general surgery, ENT, pain, and dental services.
• Cover pre-op, post-op, circulating, PACU, and endoscopy areas.
• Float between units as required.
• Participate in variable weekend and night on-call coverage, approximately eight shifts per month.
• Work every third or fourth weekend, depending on the rotation.
• Use Epic for charting.
