About The Position
The full-time Registered Nurse (RN) at Wilcox State Prison in Abbeville, GA provides flexible, as-needed clinical coverage and plays a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting overall clinical operations. This position requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Active RN license in Georgia or an applicable compact state, in good standing
- Current and active CPR or BLS certification
- 1 year of RN experience
- Ability to obtain the required security clearance, which may include a drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, nursing, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow established clinical, safety, security, and infection-control procedures
