Requirements

  • Current RN license in Connecticut (or valid multistate/compact license)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising direct resident care and nursing personnel during assigned shifts
  • Providing hands-on clinical care as needed
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments
  • Monitoring resident conditions and communicating changes to physicians and families
  • Making rounds to ensure quality care in a safe, clean environment
  • Assisting with development and implementation of care plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and medical records
  • Responding to resident emergency call systems
  • Promoting restorative care and resident independence
  • Participating in training, education, and professional development opportunities
  • Ensuring proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies
  • Participating in on-call responsibilities as assigned
