About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ICU Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The role ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct patient care and supervising care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The nurse participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensure continuity of patient care between shifts.
- Provide direct patient care.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Serve as a patient advocate while focusing on the organization’s mission.
