Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is required
Current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required
Strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment are required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Oral Surgery, Operating Room (OR), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Critical Care is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures
Review patient history and conduct pre-operatory assessment
Continuous patient care during sedation while monitoring vital signs and assisting as required
Post-operative patient care in preparation for discharge
Complete all necessary documentation for patient records
