About The Position

The Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families by implementing a plan of care based on assessment of patients’ physical, psychological, and socioeconomic status, developmental and health care needs, and physician orders for care, treatment, and education. The Clinical Nurse supports the organization’s mission, values, and management of patient care services and practices in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, the North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, WakeMed’s Division of Nursing Professional Practice model, and WakeMed’s Patient & Family Centered Care model. Patient and Family Centered Care emphasizes dignity and respect, information sharing, participation, and collaboration. Nurses listen to and honor patient and family perspectives, communicate complete and unbiased information, support patients and families in participating in care and decisions at their chosen level, and collaborate with them in delivering care.

Requirements

Registered Nurse licensure required.
Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
No experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families through implementation of a plan of care.

Follow physician orders regarding care, treatment, and education.
Support the organization’s mission, values, and management of patient care services.
