PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Personal Home Care
About The Position
AbriCare is seeking a dependable Registered Nurse to support its personal care services team throughout the Greater St. Louis area. This PRN role is suited to a nurse who enjoys working independently, supporting caregivers, and helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life at home. AbriCare provides personal care services to Medicaid and private-pay clients throughout Missouri, with a focus on helping individuals live safely and independently in their homes. The position offers flexible daytime hours, primarily Monday through Friday. Hours are initially limited, with opportunities to increase as client volume grows; PRN hours are not guaranteed. The role covers the Greater St. Louis area, including St. Charles, St. Peters, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, Webster Groves, Shrewsbury, Richmond Heights, and St. Louis City. Compensation is competitive per visit based on experience, with $0.50 per mile for eligible business travel. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Missouri RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to client homes.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to meet background screening requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home health, personal care, or community-based nursing.
- Familiarity with Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet) requirements.
- Experience with caregiver supervision and electronic documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing in-home client assessments.
- Develop, review, and update individualized care plans.
- Perform caregiver supervisory visits and competency evaluations.
- Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and care teams.
- Monitor client conditions and address clinical or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
