About The Position
ChristianaCare, a healthcare organization with 1100 beds between two Magnet® recognized hospitals (Christiana and Wilmington) and the only Level 1 Trauma service on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore, is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Behavioral Health Nursing team at the Union Hospital. This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours per week, with a night shift during the week and rotation to day shifts on weekends. Weekends and Holidays are scheduled per department guidelines. Requirements
- Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for Maryland RN license
- BLS required
- Two year med/surg experience in an acute care setting
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Behavioral Health (Psych) nursing experience in an Inpatient or Outpatient setting is required.
- Knowledge of Crisis Area is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with strong Medical Surgical experience with a proven passion for this area will also be considered.
- Psychiatric Nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- Professional Certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care on the Behavioral Health Unit.
