About The Position

Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care to an assigned group of patients, matching patient needs with the nurse’s competencies. The nurse completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned. This role is in oncology. A sign-on bonus may be available.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Med/Surg experience and completion of the Basic Oncology Nursing and Cancer Chemotherapy Course for Oncology and Infusion Clinic.
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from ARC or AHA upon hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two years of acute-care experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
