About The Position

PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Camber Children's Mental Health Hospital, Wichita KS. This role involves providing direct care and support to children ages 6 to 18 in a safe, trauma-informed environment. As an RN, you will play a key role in supporting children and families, collaborating with a team of professionals, and helping young people build resilience for a brighter future.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Certification as a Registered Nurse
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in behavioral health settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Take medication orders and supervise the dispensing of medications
• Chart and maintain accurate medical records
• Assess medical health concerns, including infection control, and ensure timely care
• Collaborate with the staff nutritionist to meet patients’ dietary needs
• Communicate with case managers or adults responsible for patients’ physical health
• Assist with injuries and accidents
• Consult with direct care staff to support patient well-being
