About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric ER uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients. The nurse applies the nursing process of triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.

St. Mary's Medical Center is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach and part of the Palm Beach Health Network. It is a Level 1 Trauma Center and state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center. Pediatric services are provided through Palm Beach Children's Hospital, which offers dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma care.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Hold a Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Hold American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• Obtain American Heart Association ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Obtain CPI certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Obtain PALS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Obtain TNCC within two years of hire or transfer if inexperienced, or within one year if experienced.
