About The Position
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical/surgical patients. This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly. We have a great mentoring/precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.
Requirements
- Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
- Heavier lifting requirements may apply for specified departments.
Responsibilities
- Care for a wide variety of medical/surgical patients with short hospital stays (1-2 days).
- Participate in a supportive environment focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth.
- Utilize mentoring and precepting programs to develop nursing skills.
- Assist with patient care, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with 100 pounds.
