This role involves planning, directing, providing, and assisting in the evaluation of total patient care in collaboration with providers. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Duties include direct patient care, quality assurance activities, ensuring completeness of procedures and treatments, instructing patients, and timely execution of medical orders. The position also involves symptom management, direct in-clinic and/or telehealth patient care, and quality improvement activities, all while adhering to ANA scope and Standards of professional nursing and the code of ethics. Specifically, the Urgent Care team seeks a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This RN will function under the direction of an on-site provider, performing rapid patient triage, clinical assessments, and supporting procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient flow, requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
  • An Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • 1 Year of Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Triage Required
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • 2 Years Experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred

Responsibilities
