Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About The Position
Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry Unit. The organization is part of Prime Healthcare and serves Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties through its hospitals and healthcare facilities. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct care within the scope of practice, guides patient and family teaching, and directs activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The nurse is accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching.
- Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
- Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
