About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The position is full-time with evening shifts. The nurse will lead patient care by delivering holistic, high-quality nursing care aligned with clinical standards and organizational protocols. They will drive care planning by initiating, implementing, and monitoring personalized patient care plans. The role involves coordinating the team, serving as a central communication link for all disciplines to ensure a seamless care journey. The nurse will practice vigilant monitoring by observing, recording, and communicating changes in patient conditions, acting on clinical insights. They will also ensure continuity of care by managing physician and nursing orders and coordinating discharge plans for successful transitions.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Initiate, implement, and continuously monitor personalized patient care plans, ensuring they are effective and adapt to changing needs.
  • Serve as the central communication link for all disciplines—from physicians to specialists—to ensure a unified and seamless care journey for every patient.
  • Accurately observe, record, and promptly communicate changes in patient conditions, acting quickly and decisively on clinical insights.
  • Manage and execute physician and nursing orders while proactively coordinating all elements of a patient’s discharge plan to support successful transitions of care.
