About The Position

The unit is a close-knit, 14-bed specialty unit focusing on Renal, Sepsis, and Wounds care, handling mixed acuity cases (Med-Surg, Tele, PCU) outside the ICU. The unit is recognized for high quality and thrives on teamwork, offering opportunities to explore certifications like PCCN or CMSRN.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of licensed RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. (Exceptions may be considered for candidates with over two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Handle mixed acuity cases (Med-Surg, Tele, PCU) outside the ICU.
  • Obtain PCCN and CMSRN certifications.
  • Develop strong bedside skills.
  • Understand and develop further skills in wound care.
  • Manage time and flexibility while managing patients ranging in acuity levels.
