Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time - Overnights
About The Position
Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is seeking motivated, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide exceptional direct care and support to patients. The RN assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with health team members, in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice. This role actively engages in the healthcare team, offering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians, and continuously assesses patients' physical and psychological conditions. The position utilizes the nursing process aligned with the hospital's philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles, upholding a safe therapeutic environment. The RN collaborates as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
- Able to produce a valid Illinois State RN license.
- At least three years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
- Flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.
- Must pass a competency exam upon hire.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
