Registered Nurse (RN) V, SDS OR
About The Position
Provides professional perioperative nursing care and coordinates patient care planning with other hospital disciplines. RN II requires a minimum of six months of recent full-time operating room experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent, and/or competency as determined by the department manager. RN III, RN IV, and RN V perform similar patient care duties while taking on greater levels of leadership and education. Specific task elements are generally outlined in department task lists and competency check-off lists. The nurse may perform specialized tasks as outlined in the position competency check-off and task elements.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least six months of recent full-time operating room RN experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
- Membership in the Association of Perioperative Nurses (AORN).
- Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
