About The Position

Provides professional perioperative nursing care. Coordinates patient care planning with other hospital disciplines. RN II requires minimum six (6) months of recent full-time operating room experience in an acute care hospital or the equivalent and/or has been deemed competent by the department manager. The RN III, RN IV, RN V performs similar patient care duties but accepts higher degrees of leadership and education. Specific task elements are generally outlined below and may be found in department task lists and competency check off lists. May perform specialized tasks as outlined in the position competency check-off and task elements.

Requirements

Current CA Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Minimum 6 months recent full-time Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital or the equivalent

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
Member of Association of Perioperative Nurses (AORN)
Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
