About The Position
The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The RN delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service. This is a seasonal contract position within the Baptist Health Seasonal Nursing Pool, requiring a commitment to a 12, 16, 18, or 24-week contract. The role involves floating to all areas within the hospital as needed or assigned, working any three twelve-hour shifts per week, and every other weekend for a total of 36 hours per week. Seasonal Nursing Pool Employees will not be flexed, will not accrue Paid Time Off (PTO), and are not permitted to request time off during the Agreement Period. They are also not eligible for Boca Raton Regional or Baptist Health South Florida benefit, shift differential, or bonus programs.
Requirements
- Minimum Required Experience: 2 years.
- ASN, Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in FL.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (dependent upon unit) certification by the AHA or American Red Cross.
- Commitment to a 12-week, 16-week, 18-week, or 24-week contract in the Baptist Health Seasonal Nursing Pool.
- Commitment to work any three twelve-hour shifts per week and every other weekend during the Agreement period for a total of 36 hours per week.
- Commitment to float to all areas within the hospital as needed or assigned.
