About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at ED North in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time variable Evening shift opportunity. Scheduled shifts: 9-9,10-10,11-11 This emergency department provides high-quality care to a growing community in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements

  • 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • CEN, TNCC, NIHSS

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based care to emergency patients
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Coordinate care with ancillary services
  • Serve as a patient advocate
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
