About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing in Yulee, Florida. This is a PRN opportunity working a variable shift. Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing brings high-quality emergency services to the growing communities of Nassau County and North Florida. The facility is designed to provide efficient, patient-focused emergency care with convenient access for local residents. As part of the emergency care team, you will help deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
