About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Lead Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide and oversee patient care in a nursing unit. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for admitted patients. The role includes planning and coordinating patient care, interdisciplinary and discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Lead Dialysis Nurses oversee physician-ordered dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure. Other related duties may be assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties.

Requirements

• Hold an RN license in the state where applying.
• Hold a current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification is required after 90 days of employment; ACLS is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• Charge Nurse duties require ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certification is preferred initially.
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.

• Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
• Access community resources for patients.
