About The Position
This is a part-time, day shift position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care at Chilton Wound Care, located at St. Vincent's Chilton in Clanton, AL. The role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with various healthcare disciplines, and managing discharge planning needs. The position is with UAB St. Vincent's, a healthcare provider with a long history in Alabama, committed to compassionate and personalized care.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Current wound care certification from a nationally recognized accrediting organization (e.g., WOCN or equivalent) required. Certification must be maintained in accordance with the certifying body’s requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required and professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
