About The Position
North Shore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care for a Part-Time position. Our facility provides 24-hour nursing, medical, and health services under physician-directed care and RN supervision. We are committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and building strong community partnerships. This role involves delivering direct nursing care, monitoring patients, performing nursing techniques for patient comfort, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position also requires adherence to regulatory guidelines and potentially supervising Patient Care Assistants.
Requirements
- Current Florida RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Basic Arrhythmia skills
- Computer Skill
- Ability to communicate in English
Nice To Haves
- Certified Wound Care Specialist (CWCS)
- Minimum one to three years experience managing wounds of various etiologies
- Minimum of one to two years experience working in an Ambulatory setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor and interpret patient conditions, intervening as necessary.
- Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing Patient Care Assistants.
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines (TJC, OSHA, AHCA, CMS, etc.).
