About The Position
This role specializes in assessing, treating, and educating patients with complex wounds, such as pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, and skin tears. The nurse will develop personalized care plans, clean wounds, apply appropriate dressings, monitor healing progress, and provide patient education on wound care management to promote optimal healing and prevent complications. This role often involves close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- Ability to consistently provide safe, patient-centered care.
- Ability to handle/support various organizational responsibilities.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Experience in acute care.
- Experience in Medical-Surgical.
- Experience in Wound Care.
