About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week day shift contract opportunity in Newport, OR. This role supports patients with acute and chronic wounds, including wounds related to diabetes, surgery, injury, poor circulation, and other conditions.

Requirements

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse license required upon submission
• BLS/BCLS required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Minimum 6 months of wound care experience required
• Holiday coverage required
• General interview availability must be provided at submission

Nice To Haves

• Acute care experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Wound care certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide wound, ostomy, and continence-focused nursing care
• Support physician-driven wound care treatment plans
• Assess, monitor, and document wound healing progress
• Assist with adjunctive therapies related to vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine
• Educate patients on wound care, prevention, and follow-up needs
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to support safe outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility care standards
