About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Women's Health (RNWH) provides professional nursing services in case management for patients, including adult and pediatric case management within Ambulatory Care and/or Women and Children's services. This role involves applying knowledge of the nursing process to deliver individualized, goal-oriented care. The RNWH develops, implements, and evaluates patient care coordination and case management programs to adhere to current standards of care. This position collaborates with primary care providers, clinic nurses, public health nursing, case management, and social services to meet patient care needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include managing clinic and follow-up visits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, providing information to providers, assisting in implementing treatment plans, administering prescribed medications, and maintaining effective communication channels with other departments and agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.
  • Minimum of 36 months of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in women's health.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing services in case management for patients, including adult and pediatric case management within Ambulatory Care and/or Women and Children's services.

  • Manages clinic and follow-up visits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nursing personnel, social workers, and physical therapists.
  • Provides information to providers and assists in implementing treatment plans according to age-appropriate health maintenance needs.
  • Administers prescribed oral medications, intramuscular injections, and intravenous medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Coordinates and maintains effective communication channels with other departments, nursing units, and tribal/community agencies.
