About The Position

As an RN in the Women’s Center you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the practitioner orders; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Licensed as an RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
  • Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment.
  • Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year (2080 hours) of RN Women’s Center experience required.
  • Labor & Delivery experience is required.
  • Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider).

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience accepted in one or more of the following areas: Mother/Baby Special Care Nursery
  • NRP certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
  • STABLE certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
  • Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
  • Specialty Certification in the RN’s area of expertise (e.g. RNC-OB, RNC-EFM, RNC-ONQS, RNC -OBE, RNC-MNN, etc)
